Curfew Plan Announced in Skardu for March 10

Skardu — The district administration in Skardu has announced a special security plan along with curfew and relaxation timings to maintain law and order in view of religious gatherings scheduled throughout the day and night.

According to a notification issued by the District Magistrate Skardu, the measures have been taken in anticipation of religious assemblies before evening, night prayers of Shab-e-Qadr, and the procession marking Youm-e-Ali.

Under the plan, curfew will remain in force from 5:00am to 10:00am, while relaxation will be allowed from 10:00am until 5:00am the following day.

During the relaxation hours, public movement will be permitted. However, business centres will remain open only from 10:00am to 4:00pm.

The administration has also allowed inter-district movement in emergency cases and for freight vehicles.

Meanwhile, strict restrictions will remain in place in the Red Zone, from Askari Bank to the Administration Complex, where all forms of movement will remain prohibited.

The district administration said the measures are aimed at ensuring security and smooth conduct of the religious events in Skardu.
