16 Police Suspended Over Failure to Join New Postings

Chilas -- In a move to enforce discipline, Diamer Police authorities have suspended 16 personnel including both constables and head constables after they repeatedly ignored transfer orders and failed to report at their new duty stations in the district.

An official suspension order issued by Diamer Police states that the officers, who were transferred from Gilgit, did not comply with posting instructions dated March 6, 2026. The department viewed their continued absence as a direct violation of lawful orders and a serious breach of police regulations and chain of command.
