Forest Department supports spring plantation drive in Hunza

Nasirabad -- In an effort to support the ongoing spring tree plantation campaign, the Forest Department has provided a 6,000-foot pipeline with a diameter of 1.5 inches to the management of Boys High School Nasirabad in Hunza.

The pipeline was formally handed over in the presence of local elders and community representatives. It will facilitate irrigation for nearly 8,000 saplings to be planted across 10 acres of land during the current plantation season.

Officials said the facility will not only help ensure proper irrigation of the newly planted trees but will also serve additional purposes, including providing water for irrigation and drinking water for students at the school.

The initiative reflects the Forest Department’s continued commitment to promoting afforestation, environmental sustainability, and community welfare.
